In town for a meeting, this was spotted on a nearby building. Snapped on the mobile with GT sitting on a bus shelter, the operation will repeated with a longer lens at the next meeting. And this was done on 13th September, the last two images shown, a rather greyer day.

The statue stating on top of the globe is Mercury (Hermes) the messenger and God of profitable trade. It’s by James Alexander Stevenson and completed in the early 1900s. Though it would be impossible to see from the ground it’s apparently – as with all Stevenson’s work – signed with ‘Myrander’ a combination of his wife’s name (Myra) and his middle name (Alexander). lookup.london
