The main image, Cat. 120, is at the bottom of a large circular staircase. The statue in Cat. 121 below is of Saint Peter and is in the basilica named after him. His foot is being eroded by pilgrims' attentions. The third image, Cat. 122, is a large nativity scene in St. Peter's Square protected by barriers and armed police.
